My Signature Colour

The world is a great place when there is green in the scene!  That’s been my view for as long as I can remember. From an early age I have always loved how green evokes positive feelings of relaxation or excitement. It is a colour that symbolizes a new beginning, of going back to nature.

In my designs I love to incorporate green in any specific shade that suits a client’s interior or exterior. For my own studio entry space, I chose a vibrant green for the elegant front door.  It effectively creates a passage into my world of design. So many people stop to take photos of the door as they pass by!  It’s lovely confirmation that I’m not the only one who is entranced by this hue.

Why Use Green:

For inspiration: Whenever I'm trying to get motivated to tackle a new goal, or to start over on something, surrounding myself with green: as planting, a painting or putting together fabrics and hard finishes in the studio - creates an excitement in me. Strong greens are energising and inspire me even in the way I style my wardrobe.

For relaxing: As an Interior Designer there is nothing more satisfying than creating a refreshing interior space, which encourages a sense of calm, of turning down the dial on a busy day.

How to Use Green:

With other colours:  Green works with so many other accent colours.  It sits well with splashes of purples and pinks, as well as blues, neutrals and golds.

With other materials: Tiles. Timbers and natural materials.

Final Words:

I don't think I know of any client that hasn't been pleased with the statement of green that I have introduced into their interiors.
